Audiomack, the streaming platform that has long served as a launchpad for emerging hip-hop and Afrobeats artists, is overhauling how creators interact with the service. The company announced today that it is opening the waitlist for Audiomack Pro, a new subscription tier launching fully in early 2026 that essentially allows artists to pay for visibility, deeper analytics, and – crucially – immediate access to monetization.
For years, the platform has operated with a relatively low barrier to entry, hosting over one million active creators and 47 million monthly users. With the Pro tier, Audiomack is adopting a model similar to what we’ve seen across the broader creator economy: gating advanced tools and “fast-track” features behind a monthly fee.
Here is a breakdown of what the new tier actually offers.
Buying into the monetization queue
Perhaps the most significant functional change with Audiomack Pro is how it handles payouts. Historically, streaming platforms (including Audiomack’s own Monetization Program, or AMP) require artists to hit specific streaming or follower thresholds before they can begin earning royalties.
Audiomack Pro effectively lets users pay to skip that line. Subscribers are granted “instant monetization,” bypassing the usual eligibility requirements for AMP. This means an artist with zero prior history on the platform can technically start earning revenue on their owned content immediately after subscribing, provided they have the rights to the music.
“Guaranteed” streams via Boost
The subscription also leans heavily into paid discovery. Audiomack Pro includes a monthly allowance of Audiomack Boost credits.
Audiomack describes Boost as a tool that pushes tracks to listeners identified as having a high probability of enjoying that specific genre or style. According to the company, the credits included in the Pro subscription are enough to generate approximately 10,000 “guaranteed plays” per month. The feature also includes geo-targeting, allowing artists to focus that promotion on specific regions – a useful tool for acts trying to break into specific markets like Lagos, London, or New York.
Granular retention data
While basic stats are table stakes for any streaming dashboard, the Pro tier is locking more granular “moment-level” metrics behind the paywall.
The advanced analytics suite is designed to show artists exactly how listeners interact with a track second-by-second. This includes data on where users are skipping, stopping, favoriting, or downloading a song. For artists and their teams, this is the kind of data usually used to determine which part of a song should be a TikTok clip (the part with the highest retention) or to diagnose why a track might be underperforming (e.g., everyone skips the long intro).
Verification and Motion Avatars
Inevitably, the subscription comes with the visual signifiers of status. Following the trend set by X (formerly Twitter) and Meta, Audiomack is tying verification to its paid tier. Pro users will receive the platform’s “signature orange verification badge.”
Additionally, Pro users get access to motion avatars, allowing them to upload animated GIFs as their profile pictures.
Availability and the Free Tier
Audiomack has clarified that the existence of the Pro tier will not deprecate the current free offering for creators. The free tier will still allow for unlimited uploads and direct messaging with followers.
The full rollout is scheduled for early 2026, though the waitlist is available now. The company notes that additional features regarding customer support and fan engagement are still under wraps. Pricing has not yet been publicly detailed, though Audiomack is offering a 25 percent discount to creators who sign up for the waitlist early.
