Latin music streams on Audiomack have grown by 19% globally

Music-streaming service Audiomack says it has seen strong growth for Latin music on its platform over the past year.

The company says that it has seen a 19% rise in Latin streams globally, but also that it has seen a 22% uptick in streams by Latin American listeners.

Audiomack has also seen 4.5m new accounts created in Latin America in the last two years. That has led to its expansion in the region, including extending its licensing deal with Warner Music Group to include more countries there – Mexico and the Dominican Republic included.

“I am excited by the incredible growth taking place across Latin America, with a substantial increase in streams and users. This momentum reflects the region’s passion for music and the increasing demand for music discovery,” said Audiomack Latin’s Gineyda Cornelio.

The news comes hot on the heels of a series of industry reports focusing on Latin America and Latin music.

US trade body the RIAA reported earlier this month that Latin recorded-music generated $1.42bn of revenues in the US last year – a record annual total, up 5.8% year-on-year.

Meanwhile, indie body WIN has just put out a report exploring digital trends within Latin America, although some of its figures – the fact that barely 30% of independent artists surveyed have more than 500 monthly streaming listeners – weren’t quite as positive.

Meanwhile, the IFPI reported that recorded-music revenues in Latin America grew by 22.5% in 2024, with Mexico breaking into its top 10 markets, joining Brazil.
