Warner Music Group has been licensing its catalogue to streaming service Audiomack since 2019, when it became the first major label to sign a deal with the DSP. Thus far that agreement has covered a set of countries ranging from the US and Canada to South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and other countries in Africa – one of Audiomack’s strongest regions.
Now the deal is expanding significantly. WMG’s music will now be streamable on Audiomack in 47 more countries including the UK, France, Italy, Germany and Mexico. Audiomack has grown steadily since that first agreement with WMG, when it had eight million monthly active users. Now it has 35 million of those, with founder Dave Macli recently announcing that this total includes 10 million daily active users.
